A letter from a Polish office

Polish public offices send electronically signed letters, often through e-Delivery (e-Doręczenia) or ePUAP. If the attachment is a .xades or .xml file, open it here: no Polish software, no account.

The file never leaves your device.

.xades, .xml, .sig, .p7m, signed PDF and .zip from e-Doręczenia

How to read the letter

  1. Download the attachment from e-Doręczenia, ePUAP or your email.
  2. Click “Open a .xades file” at the top of this page and choose the file.
  3. Read the letter, check who signed it and save it as a PDF. Your browser can translate it from Polish.

What the Polish terms mean

  • Podpis zaufany: a trusted signature made with a Profil Zaufany (Trusted Profile) account.
  • Podpis osobisty: a personal signature made with a Polish e-ID card (e-dowód).
  • Kwalifikowany podpis elektroniczny: a qualified electronic signature from a trust service provider.
  • Decyzja, wezwanie, postanowienie: a decision, a summons, a ruling.
  • Pouczenie: instructions on your rights, for example how and when to appeal.

Mind the deadlines

A letter sent through e-Doręczenia is usually treated as delivered when you open it, and at the latest after 14 days, even if you never open it. Any deadline to reply may already be running, so read the letter soon.

Frequently asked questions

Is this an official service?

No. This site is not affiliated with any public authority. It opens the file you already received, and the signature check is for information only.

Is my letter sent anywhere?

No. The file is opened only in your browser. Personal data in the letter, such as your PESEL number, never leaves your device.

The attachment is a .zip file. What now?

Choose the .zip as it is. We find the signed file inside and list the other files as attachments.

There are two files, a PDF and a .xades. What now?

The signature is in a separate file. Choose the .xades file, then add the PDF, and we check that they match.
